Balls in the Hall! The Wiffle® Ball Inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame

The Wiffle® Ball has been inducted in the Toy Hall of Fame.   Thanks for all of you who voted them in!

The Wiffle Ball, Inc. of Shelton, Conn. was happy to announce that the WIFFLE® Ball was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. The honor was presented on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at The Strong Museum in Rochester, N.Y. The WIFFLE ball joins 62 previously inducted toys in the National Toy Hall of Fame, which have been selected based on four main criteria: icon-status, longevity, discovery, and innovation.

Upon learning of the accolade, David J. Mullany (President) stated, “We would like to thank not only the nomination and selection committee at The Strong for this honor, but also the millions who have enjoyed WIFFLE products since the first ball was designed at the Mullany Family kitchen table back in 1953. The Wiffle Ball, Inc. is proud to be a part of the culture, sport, play, and recreation for millions of kids and adults in the United States and beyond. We are thankful for the enthusiasm that grants Toy Hall of Fame status and solidifies WIFFLE as one of the premiere brands in backyard sports.”
